Kathmandu. Nepali Congress General Secretary Bishwaprakash Sharma has said that the parties should maintain social unity.
He mentioned that the major political parties governing the country should be more responsible for increasing the attraction of the people towards politics.
Speaking at a memorial service organized on the occasion of the 24th memorial day of late Tursa Hemaram, a leader of the democratic movement in Kankai, Jhapa, Sharma said that the system of governance should be stable for the prosperity of the country.

Stressing on the need to move the country forward on the path of prosperity by uniting the sentiments of all, he said that all the political parties should stand together in uplifting the backward communities.
The political contribution and biography of late Hemaram were discussed at the memorial meeting with various cultural performances organized at the premises of Tursa Hemaram Memorial Foundation under construction near the office of the municipality at Kankai Municipality-1. On the occasion, goat, race, long jump, and archery competitions were held among the Santhal youth.
Hemaram was very close to the founding leader of the Nepali Congress BP Koirala and the socialist thinker Sike Prasai. Hemaram, who was born in 1980, died on December 20, 2054. Her family has a permanent residence in Jhapa.
