Kathmandu. The life of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt is full of turmoil. He became popular in the 1980s due to his alcoholism. The 1993 Mumbai bombings forced him into prison.
The trial began on June 30, 1995. The trial was completed on May 18, 2007, almost 12 years later. He was sentenced to six years in prison under the Arms Act.
Sanjay’s stay in jail was special. He spent five years in prison and was released eight months ago for good work. In prison, he spent time as a working prisoner. He had made many bags in jail.
According to Sanjay, he used to make money in jail by making paper bags from old magazines. He used to get 20 paisa per sack for this. “I used to take 50 to 100 bags a day in jail. I earned about five hundred rupees while I was in prison. I gave all that money to my wife Manyata ‘, said Sanjay.
Sanjay says that the value of Rs 500 earned for him in jail is equal to Rs 5,000 crore. He was lodged in Pune’s Yerawada Central Jail from 2013 to 2016.
